Julia Huxley founded Priors Field a century ago as a "high-class school for girls". She was a brilliant scholar and outstanding teacher and encouraged a love of learning in her pupils. She not only encouraged the admiration of all that is good and great, but also inspired the girls to look beyond themselves in the hope of becoming good and responsible citizens.

Times have changed but Priors Field remains loyal to Julia Huxleys vision and we continue to prepare girls to meet the challenges of the future. Drawing on our distinguished tradition and long experience we offer a broad and balanced academic education. With our superb facilities and dedicated staff who give each girl as much individual attention as necessary, our examination results are excellent, enabling the girls to go on to the higher education of their choice.
