The School shop Trading Company was started in the early 90s by Mrs Angela Farmer. Mrs Farmer was at that time the School Secretary at Barrow Hills School, Witley. She ran the School Shop from the school to provide the parents & pupils with a comprehensive and trouble free way of buying the required uniform.

Within a few years Mrs Farmer was providing this service to several local schools and made the decision to resign as School Secretary and open and run a shop full time. It was at this time she opened the first shop at Smithbrook Kilns.

By the end of the 90s Mrs Farmer had expanded and moved to larger premises within Smithbrook Kilns.

I worked for Mrs Farmer running the small shop within Barrow Hills School on a part-time basis for several years prior to buying the business when Mrs Farmer decided to retire in 2001.

I again expanded the size of the shop, and my staff and have tried to continue where Mrs Farmer left off. We endeavour to be of service to the schools, parents & pupils we cater for.

Buying school uniform can be trying, especially at those times when parents are kitting out their child for the first time, kitting out several children at the same time or when they have other siblings in tow. We try to provide each customer with a personal service and are happy to give advice on all aspects of uniform.

We are continually endeavouring to find ways to help our customers. We have a Mail Order service, we correspond with customers via e-mail and we are happy to deliver goods direct to the schools for parents to collect. We now have this Website which we hope you will find useful and we are hoping to provide a home delivery service in the near future.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you need any help, advice or if you feel there is some other service we can provide.
